Continuing, we cross the evocative cedar forest of Azrou , populated by Barbary apes that roam freely in the wild: a perfect opportunity to take photographs and take a short walk in the heart of Moroccan nature. Continuing along the scenic road, we reach the city of Midelt , known for its apple production, where we can have lunch on our own and rest. In the afternoon, the journey continues along the spectacular Ziz Valley , characterized by an immense palm grove and ancient Berber villages that tell the story of the region's ancient history. Arrival in Merzouga takes place in the late afternoon: here you'll be welcomed with traditional mint tea and set off on an exciting camel trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to admire the sunset. The day concludes with a traditional dinner and an overnight stay in an authentic Berber tented camp in the heart of the desert.
